Community, employment and day services are designed for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities who receive assistance from the DC Department of Disability Services (DDS). Services are provided in the home or community and include:
- Companion, Day Habilitation & Individual Day Supports: Assistance with socialization and skill development. Staff encourage independence and healthy relationships by navigating the community and engaging in recreational, educational and social events.
- Employment Readiness: Assistance with job readiness skills including resume writing and interviewing. Staff boost confidence and skill to identify and secure a rewarding job.
- Supportive Employment : On-the-job coaching and support to promote job security and independence. Staff foster success in the workplace by teaching skills and modeling healthy behaviors interacting with co-workers, customers and supervisors.
